Cheeseburger Pie is a savory, beefy, cheesy classic with layers of seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar baked under a golden biscuit-like topping. Family-friendly and ready in 30 minutes.
1 lb ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
½ cup baking mix (like Bisquick)
Optional: ketchup, mustard, pickles, fresh toppings
Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder (and optional ketchup/mustard).
Spread meat into pie dish. Top with shredded cheese.
In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and baking mix until smooth.
Pour batter over beef and cheese.
Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and center is set.
Cool 5–10 minutes, slice, and serve with toppings.
Use freshly shredded cheese for best texture. Let cool slightly before slicing. Store leftovers up to 3 days.
